Silke Bühler Paschen

External Advisory Board

Silke Bühler-Paschen is a professor of physics at TU Wien, Austria, specializing in strongly correlated and thermoelectric materials. Her research involves growing and characterizing high-quality single crystals to study magnetism, superconductivity in heavy fermion systems, and thermoelectric effects. She has worked on clathrate materials, investigating their potential for thermoelectric applications and discovering how the rattling behavior of caged cerium atoms stabilizes the Kondo effect at high temperatures. Bühler-Paschen also contributed to the first identification of Weyl fermions in a strongly correlated Weyl-Kondo semimetal and studied materials with quantum-critical charge fluctuations linked to superconductivity.
