Kristjan Haule

Faculty

Haule’s research specialties are in electronic structure theory for correlated electron solids and algorithm development. He is the inventor of the variational diagrammatic Monte Carlo method, and he devoted most of his career developing predictive theories for correlated electron solids, such as the combination of the Dynamical Mean Field Theory and Density Functional Theory. He is especially known for the development an implementation of DFT+eDMFT  software suite.
